Some treatments like cataract, hernia, piles, radiotherapy, chemotherapy, kidney stone removal etc. are only covered under day care treatments and included in your healthcare policy that does not require 24hrs hospitalization. Unless otherwise it is not specified in your health insurance policy, admitting yourself in the hospital for 24hrs will not buy you claim.

Myth: I am fit and healthy. Why should I take a health insurance policy?

Fact: You must not come to a conclusion that you will never fall ill, illness like accidents can occur at any time regardless of how fit and young you are. Being below the age of 30 does not rule you out from not having any diseases at all. A food poison, heart attack, cancer, malaria etc can occur at any point of your life time and obtaining a health insurance protects you form unforeseen circumstances.

How much ever defensive stance we take, we have to gulp down the hard reality that we cannot match the health levels of the octogenarian.
