Flight is Cancelled !!
“Flight LX672 is delayed by 2hours!” Often we hear such kind of announcements in the airports which puts down our excitement, especially when travelling on a holiday tour. Let it be due to bad weather, or technical glitches or any other reason, the flights get delayed and even cancelled at times.
In case of delay, if the airlines are able to arrange an alternate flight within 2 hours, the passenger cannot complain. The same way, if a flight is cancelled, the airlines can either pay the full amount back or schedule the passengers for next flight and providing them some sort of accommodation meanwhile.
This all seems to be fine for a new traveler, where he / she is in their own world thinking that airlines are treating them good.
But what if you are a frequent traveler?
What if you are on a business trip?
A mere delay of 2 hours at times can cost a lot of money later in the itinerary of an individual. He or she might miss a connecting flight or might get into trouble some way or the other.

Travel insurance seems like a pretty decent deal for someone who is on the go all the time. However, for people like me, who probably only take one trip a year, I think it doesn’t make much sense to invest for travel insurance. I understand that it’s always good to be on the safe side, but when it comes to investing money for the same people should evaluate whether it’s really worth it.
The advantages of travel insurance are numerous. The only reason why some people do not go for travel insurance is because of money and the paper work involved.
