As per the above schedule, Independence day is not a part of listed holidays. Does stock market remain open on that day? Also, why is Diwali holiday marked with asterisk? Does that indicate the Muharat opening of the stock market? Are all these holidays applicable for all the stock markets which function across India? Also, if some tragedy strikes a nation like a nationwide ban, does market function? Do markets ever go on strike?
Is working in the stock market so hard with hardly any holiday or leave? Does the stock market calendar begins from Diwali ? Is it not the individual state holiday also a holiday for the stock market of the state? for example Onam holiday for the state of Kerala or Durga puja holiday for West Bengal.
The stock market atmosphere is beyond hectic therefore, the employees deserve a few days off. Whether it´s for holidays, maintenance or some other reasons. However, people who are a part of this world need to keep in mind those dates, in order to schedule their operations without any substantial loss of business.
