This article cleared a lot of my misconceptions on NRI. It has covered all the details and all the aspects of being an NRI. It has even described the officials which are involved with this procedures and all the authorities responsible for it’s approval and all.
This article has covered most of the part which explains who is an NRI (Non-Resident Indian). This article can be useful for anyone who is seeking information on categories which prove that a person is NRI. It is very important to know how to categorize a person as NRI, because affects the payment of taxes to a larger extent.
Income taxes are a difficult thing to handle if you’re spending a lot of time overseas as a tourist, or a business person. This article clears up a lot of misunderstandings about who can claim NRI status and why. As well providing explanation of non-resident foreign citizens of Indian origin. Thanks!
The article clearly states the defination of NRI and non-residing foreign citizen of Indian origin. It is a very useful source for reference in matters of dispute with regards to citizenship. This article is a part of the one published by the RBI for such references.
I didn’t know about this term till I saw a movie “Kahi Pyar Na Ho Jaaye” where Rani Mukharjee’s fiancé played the role of NRI. The article is short and simple, fully explaining the meaning of NRI. However, even the abbreviation of NRI is also self explanatory: Non Resident Indian.
This article has differentiated a NRI and a non NRI. I do wish this article could have experimented in producing the benefits an NRI will have and what kind of benefits the country will face because of their presence. A good article though in explaining the conditions on which a person will be regarded as a NRI
