1. Be careful while revealing your account details over phone.
2. Do not write your account number or card number on visible places, always keep it in safe records.
3. Never sign on a blank receipt or debit slip given by the merchant.
4. Always keep your credit card payment receipts to verify it with monthly statements.
5. Take out the account number from ATM receipt slips before throwing away.
6. Make it a habit to compare credit card monthly statements against your receipts.
7. Maintain a written record in a safe place. Store it separately from your cards.
8. Do not carry all cards with you. Only carry those cards, which you may need.
9. Never carry your PIN in your purse and also do not write it on the card.
